The authorities of Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad sought the list of centers which have been selected to hold UP Board examinations, 2013, from the district inspector of schools.
According to officials, this has been done in order to revive the center list and remove the debar colleges from the same. The colleges where irregularities were detected last year will be considered debarred. This list will also include name of the colleges where more students were allowed to give exams than the enrolled ones. The colleges where mass cheating cases were reported will also be included in the debar list.
As per the information provided by the DIOS, Komal Yadav, the work of identifying debarred colleges is going on at full pace. As many as 13 colleges with such irregularities came to light last year but the last list of debarred colleges from the city is yet to be finalised.
Meanwhile, the preparations for UP Board exams are gaining momentum at district inspector of school's (DIOS) office. Following the same, the DIOS has increased the number of examiners. This time, 6000 examiners will be placed in the 215 centers where the board exams will be held this year. A total of 1.28 lakh students from class X and XII will take part in the UP Board exams.
